Day 1: Mollepata-Sorayoampa-Lagoon-Humantay-Soraypanpa-Cusco
Early in the morning, at "4:00 am", we will pick you up at your hotel to begin our exciting journey to the dazzling Humantay Lagoon. During a journey of approximately 4 hours in our transportation, we will head towards Soraypampa, located at an altitude of 3850 meters above sea level. Along the way, we will make a stop in the charming town of Mollepata to enjoy a comforting breakfast before continuing our trip to Soraypampa. Once in Soraypampa, we will begin our walk towards the Humantay Lagoon, located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level. During the route, we will witness impressive landscapes and, if the weather permits, we will be able to contemplate the majestic Apus of Salkantay and Humantay, representative of the spirits of the mountains. This walk, approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, has a difficulty ranging from low to moderate, but the reward will be unmatched upon arrival and enjoying the panoramic view. For those who prefer a more comfortable option, there is the possibility of renting a horse. Once at the lagoon, we will have enough time to capture memorable photographs, make offerings to the Apus and, for the more adventurous, immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of the lake under the warm sun! After enjoying this free time, we will begin our descent back to Soraypampa, a much easier route than the climb. In Soraypampa, a comforting lunch and a well-deserved rest await us before embarking on our return to Cusco. We are scheduled to arrive in Cusco around 6:00 pm, thus closing a day full of exciting experiences and natural beauty in the Humantay region. .
