This journey through the Salkantay and short Inca trail to Machu Picchu is a truly extraordinary experience that
links us to Machu Picchu, offering panoramas dominated by majestic glaciers,

Our route will take us through the highest snow-capped mountain in the Vilcabamba
mountain range until we reach Llactapata, located behind the majestic mountain of
Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, concluding finally in Aguas Calientes, at the foot of the
Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Thus, we will close this unforgettable
adventure, an incomparable experience that will allow us to connect with nature, culture
and history.
- Day 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA – SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY LAGOON – LODGE DEL CIELO.

Day 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA – SORAYPAMPA – LAGUNA HUMANTAY –
LODGE DEL CIELO.
Very early we left Cusco. After a 3-hour journey from Cusco we arrived at Mollepata. After a light breakfast we continued the trip in our transport to Challacancha to begin the 2-hour walk, until we reached our Soraypampa camp (lunch point). After lunch we will ascend. to visit the beautiful Humantay lagoon (3 hrs round trip), after the visit, we will descend again to our camp, where we will have tea time and spend the first night.
About our Lodge del Cielo base in Soraypampa: Our camp is located 10 minutes walk from the town of Soraypampa, which gives us a great advantage of having a 360° panoramic view of the lagoon of Humantay is also a perfect place to appreciate the beauty and landscape of the Andean valley and enjoy the company of our beautiful alpacas.

Day 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAY PASS – WAYRACMACHAY -COLLPAPAMPA – LODGE
DEL CIELO.
After breakfast, we will begin the most difficult part of the hike, passing through the site known as Pampa Salkantay. Then we will take the left side of the Salkantay glacier. Around noon, we will reach the highest point of the imposing Salkantay snow-capped mountain located above 4,650 m (15,255 feet), we will be able to appreciate all the majesty of the area, its chain of mountains, glaciers and ravines, we will feel the magic of the Andes, after After a break we will begin the slow descent towards Wayracmachay, where we will have lunch and a well-deserved rest. We will continue descending and enter the cloud forest where we will have indescribable views of the place, and then continue to our second Heaven Lodge located in Collpapampa. Finally we will have tea time and spend the second night here.
About our Lodge del Cielo base in Collpapampa: Our camp is located 10 minutes walk from the town of Chaullay, a very busy camp. However, our camp in Collpapampa gives us a great advantage of having a 360-degree panoramic view of the Sakantay Valley, it is a perfect place away from the crowd where we can meet a bit of the Local Family

Day 3: COLLPAPAMPA –LA PLAYA - LUCMABAMBA – LODGE DEL CIELO.
After a delicious breakfast we will begin this day that will be unforgettable, we will continue with the walk through the cloud forest, we will appreciate the flora and fauna of this area, especially the coffee, banana and avocado plantations, the climate is temperate and humid in this area , so a favorable microclimate has been formed for the production of orchids that, due to their colors and varieties, have been cataloged by experts as the most beautiful in the world, arriving at the beach where we will have lunch and then take direct transportation to the hydroelectric station, we will continue with the walk along the side of the railway until we reach the Town of Aguas Calientes. Finally we will have dinner and accommodation at the lodging.
About our Lodge del Cielo base in Lucbabamba: Our camp is located in Lucmabamba, it is a perfect place away from the crowded groups where you can see the customs of the peasants. where its main economy is growing coffee plantations. It is our responsibility to give them the opportunity to show themselves.

Day 4: LUCMABAMBA - LLACTAPATA - AGUAS CALIENTES - HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS
CALIENTES.
After a hearty breakfast, we will continue with the last day of our trek. We will walk for 2-3 hours to the Llactapata Pass (2,700 m / 8,858 ft), where we will have a spectacular view of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary where the southeast has a view that few travelers have the opportunity to admire. Here we take a short break to explore the Llactapata complex and then we will have lunch at this panoramic viewpoint overlooking Machu Picchu. After seeing the incredible landscapes, we will begin our final part of the hike towards the Aobamba River and through lush bamboo forests, orchards and coffee plantations. We will arrive at the hydroelectric station, to continue walking along the railroad tracks to the town of Machu Picchu or also known as Aguas Calientes (approx. 3 hours). After this gentle walk, we will go to our hotel and then have a celebration dinner with our guide and a final briefing for our experience the next day.
About our night in Machu Picchu city: The hotel in Machu Picchu will depend on your request and expectations before starting the entire Trek.
Note: Those who prefer not to walk from the hydroelectric station
to the city of Machu Picchu, can take the train in 40 minutes of travel,
but remember that the price is not included in your package or tickets.

Day 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – KM 104 –CHACHABAMBA – SUN GATE / INTI PUNKU –
MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES.
We leave very early from Aguas Calientes towards Km. 104 along the train track, approximately 2 hours, where we will pass through the checkpoint and begin our walk. Immediately we will visit the archaeological remains of Chachabamba. Here all agricultural products were stored to be taken to Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We will continue our walk in the middle of the dense vegetation of the cloud forest, passing through the archaeological center of Wiñaywayna, then we will have lunch to continue towards the Puerta del Sol or Inti Punku, from where we will have a formidable panoramic view of the Citadel of Machu Picchu, then we will go down where Find the classic view of Machu Picchu there we will take some beautiful photos and appreciate the sunset and then take the bus to Machu Picchu town with a duration of 30 minutes, upon arrival we will have dinner and spend the night at the lodging

Day 6: THE BIG DAY! WONDER MACHU PICCHU.
Very early, immediately after breakfast at the Lodging, we will go by
bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu (30 min), until we reach the access
point and entry control of Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour
of the urban and agricultural area, as well as such as the towers,
ceremonial plazas, sacred fountain, the Intihuatana and terraces. After
a guide of approximately 2 hours, if you have access to Huayna Picchu,
coordinate with the guide and then descend to the town of Aguas
Calientes.
We will board the return train to Ollantaytambo where transportation
awaits us to take us back to Cusco, finally we will drop you off at your
respective hotel.
Very important 1: According to the regulations of Machu Picchu, once we enter the sacred city we are not allowed to return along the same paths "there are many signs on which route we should follow and stopping is prohibited in some places", for this reason we recommend that you enjoy every minute that you will be in each Inca place.
Very important 2: According to Machu Picchu regulations, entrance fees only have one payment; It means that once you leave the Inca city you will not be able to return, unless you obtain a new ticket.

- Night 3: Experience the third night at our "Lodge del Cielo", in its dome, you will find a comfortable double or matrimonial bed (depending on your established preferences). Raw surrounding cloud forest landscape. We are going to be very close to the local families, they are heirs of the Inka culture and they are very happy to share their lands with us.
