Day-01
On our first day, we’ll arrive in the capital of the biological diversity of Peru, Puerto Maldonado! ’ll be picked up at the airport. Our tour begins with a tour of the city by bus. We will then head to Port Capitania for the boat trip across the Madre de Dios River. During the trip we will enter a natural environment where we may see capybara, cayman, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animal species. We’ll arrive at the Ecoamazonía Lodge where we will have a welcome drink before being brought to our accommodations in our bungalows and have lunch.
In the afternoon we’ll head out onto the Madre de Dios River accompanied by our specialist guide to the Monkey Island, 5 minutes from the lodge. We’ll hike around the island full of exuberant flora and a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as spider monkeys, capuchins, puffins, and other species like the coati, sloths, and a variety of birds. We will complete our island tour enjoying the sunset. Afterwards we’ll return to the lodge to end the day with a nice dinner.

PUERTO MALDONADO 2D/1N
Description
Puerto Maldonado 2 Days Tour.
DAY 1: MONKEY ISLAND
On our first day of our tour, we’ll start with your pick up at the airport of Puerto Maldonado. We’ll take a short tour of the city by bus and then head out to Port Capitania. Here we’ll board a boat on the Madre de Dios River where we’ll have the chance to see the capybara, cayman, turtles, herons, cormorants and other animals. We’ll arrive at the Ecoamazonía Lodge, where we’ll have a welcome drink, be brought to our bungalows and have lunch.
In the afternoon we’ll visit the heart of the Madre de Dios River, Monkey Island, with our specialized guide and which is only about 5 minutes from the lodge. During the hike we’ll witness the extraordinary landscapes and exuberant flora as well as a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as spider monkeys, capuchins, puffins, and other species like the coati, sloths, and a variety of birds. We’ll complete our island tour by enjoying the sunset before returning to the lodge to end the day with a nice dinner.
DAY 2: LOST LAKE
After breakfast we’ll begin an adventure through the virgin jungle accompanied by a local guide by hiking to the Lost Lake, which is an ecosystem of shelter and food for a vast variety of animals such as otters, alligators, turtles, tapirs, colorful birds, the majestic jaguar and a variety of fish.
This area is unique and belongs to Ecoamazonía Reserve. We will also climb to the extraordinary lookout built on top of the huge tree "Shihuahuaco" from which we can observe the magical jungle. Afterwards, we’ll go on a pleasant canoe ride around the lake before returning to the lodge to have lunch. In the afternoon we visit the plantations of wild flora and a local family. Afterwards we’ll return to the lodge and have dinner.

Puerto Maldonado 3 Days 2 Nights.

DAY 02: LOST LAKE

DAY 03: GAMITANA OR BRIOLO RIVER
After breakfast on our third day of our tour, we’ll go on another trip through the magical jungle, navigating along the Madre de Dios River, until we reach the beginning of a where we’ll walk towards the river GAMITANA O BRIOLO.
Its impressive curves form long channels and are navigable by canoe, giving us a chance to observe turtles, alligators, birds and a variety of insects. We will also do some fishing and be able to swim in its waters. Later, we’ll return to the lodge to have dinner.
