NASCA LINES FULL DAY TOUR

The famous Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru and were put on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1994. The high, arid plateau stretches more than 80 kilometers between the towns of Nazca and Palpa about 400 km south of Lima. Many experts believe the Nazca Lines were created by the Nazca culture between 400 and 650 AD and the figures range in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks or orcas, llamas, and lizards.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and take you to the local airport from where you will fly over the Nazca Lines for about 35 minutes. You will see many figures on the ground: the whale, the astronaut, the hummingbird, the parrot as well as others which are open to interpretation of what they may symbolize.
The cemetery of Chauchilla is next on the itinerary. It is located in the middle of the desert and has been damaged after years of looting, but fortunately, we can still find some of the mummies in the original tombs as well as in the small local museum.
We will go back to Nazca in the afternoon. Nazca Lines - Chimp

Located along the south coast close to Lima, Paracas is an oasis in the desert plains of Peru. It is known to be the region of sand and sea, oases and valleys. In its vicinity you will still feel the influences of the Paracas, Nazca and Chincha cultures. The Spaniards began using the land with its eternal sunshine to plant the vine strains that were brought by the conquerors from the Canary Islands and Spain. They eventually began exporting wine and brandy to the Spanish colonies in America, making the Pisco liquor famous. It is a recommended destination to start before visiting to the Nazca Lines and Paracas National Reserve.

Around 6:00/7:00am we will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Chaco Beach in Paracas. We will take a speedboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. During the tour you will be able to observe the mysterious figure of Candelabrum, the Ballestas Islands with their many seals, the blue-footed booby, penguins, as well as the beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Coast.
